About Us

The Flamingo Candles story began in 2013, inspired by Rachel's love for the bold, fabulous and totally unapologetic pink flamingo. Our very first collection featured twelve brightly-coloured, super kitsch jar candles – each showing off the dapper Florrie the Flamingo. Since then, Flamingo Candles has evolved into a full-on world of sass-filled candles and gifts, blending colour, humour and a big dose of personality.

From quirky slogan jar candles and personalised designs to keytags, mugs, notebooks and playful desk signs, every piece is created to stand out, make people smile, and be the ultimate gift to yourself or someone else. Our candles are still lovingly hand-poured in South Wales using natural soy wax, cotton wicks and the most delicious fragrances – but now they’re joined by a growing line-up of gifts that are just as unique and joy-sparking.

Our collections have been spotted in Cosmopolitan, Stylist, Marie Claire, Fabulous, Daily Mail, InStyle Germany, The Sun, Red, New and more. We’ve popped up at Topshop Oxford Circus, exhibited at major trade shows worldwide, and been stocked at Urban Outfitters, ASOS, Paperchase, Pretty Little Thing, Very, Moonpig, Joy, Forever 21, Zalando, Westwing and Le Bon Marché. In 2018, we were awarded Retailer of the Year at the Cardiff Regional Awards. We’ve also teamed up with iconic brands including Hello Kitty, Peanuts, Care Bears – with more collabs always in the pipeline.

We’re proud supporters of the Pink Ribbon Foundation (Reg. Charity No. 1080839) and donate 20% from sales of our special edition Pink Ribbon Candle and Scent Melt to fund breast cancer projects across the UK.
